Designed to integrate IBM i seamlessly with existing monitoring tools, Control for i allows organizations to monitor their IBM i systems efficiently, providing over 180 specific controls to ensure optimal performance and security. This powerful tool empowers IT teams to proactively address potential issues, enhancing overall system reliability and user experience.
Version 4.01 introduces key features that enhance security, performance, and usability, enabling businesses to optimize the monitoring of their IBM i systems.
It now offers encrypted communication between the monitoring product and IBM i partitions, ensuring data security. Additionally, a new System and Application Report module allows users to generate detailed reports on critical aspects such as disk space usage, memory, hardware incidents, and backup statuses.
Other notable improvements include a new “Scenarios” module that analyzes messages from system logs and triggers actions accordingly. This version also features better license management with a new 42-digit key format and enhances attack protection through improved access permissions based on authorization lists.
